There are many types of leathers, each serving a different purpose. Some require a bit more maintenance than others, but these general guidelines can help ensure a long life for any type of leather. For keeping your leather in great shape, we recommend our HISCOW Leather Car Kit complete with cleaner, conditioner, cleaning cloth and leather care guide.

CLEANING

To remove small scratches, use a clean fingertip to gently rub out the scratch. The natural oils in your skin will remove most small scratches. To remove dirt, grime or surface residue, use a soft, damp (not wet) cloth. Gently rub - don't scrub - for removal. For a deeper clean, we suggest using something like HISCOW Leather Cleaner, that will help preserve the natural lubricating oils instead of stripping them. The cleaner you choose should not contain caustic chemicals, harmful abrasives or leave any greasy residue behind. Before applying anything to your leather item, be sure to test in a hidden area to ensure the cleaner is compatible with the leather. Once you've decided whether the leather care product is acceptable, gently apply with a soft, clean cloth & follow the instructions of your selected leather care product.

MAINTENANCE

To preserve your leather & keep it looking supple; use an all-natural leather conditioner, such as HISCOW Leather Conditioner. As always, test the conditioner in a hidden area with a soft, clean cloth to ensure the conditioner is compatible with the leather. Once you've decided whether the leather care product is acceptable, follow the instructions of your selected leather care product.

STORING LEATHER

Remember that leather is a natural material and should be stored in a breathable bag, not plastic, to prevent the growth of mildew and bacteria.
